So the totals have been added up and it’s almost time to deliver these toys to all the families in need this year. Here at XY7, with the $7,250 that we raised, we were able to work out deals and deliver over $23,000 worth of toys to the KLUC toy drive this year.
Over the 12 days, with generous donations from local companies and celebrities like Wal-Mart, Chris Angel, Donny Osmond, Wayne Newton and the Light group, Chet and the Morning Zoo were able to collect over $93,000 in gift cards and 1,525 bike for the kids. In addition, they filled 9 and a half Albertsons 50′ trucks full of toys.
The support from the community here in Las Vegas was great this year. Thanks to all those that contributed and thanks to Chet for all you do for our community!

The days are winding down and we’re getting closer to delivering all our toys. We’re at about $5,500 in donations and so far, and thanks to our friends at Walmart & Target, we have been able to turn that into about $9,000 worth of toys. We’re getting excited about getting these toys down there and helping out Chet once again this year.

We did it, we stood in line at midnight for the black Friday sales to begin. We got in the stores and have about $5,000 in toys at this time to donate. We’ve got 88 bikes so far and are looking to increase that total.

98.5 KLUC’s Chet Buchanan & The Morning Zoo have teamed up once again with HELP of Southern Nevada for the 11th Annual 98.5 KLUC’s Chet Buchanan & The Morning Zoo Toy Drive running 24 hours a day for 12 straight days beginning Thursday, December 3rd at 6:00 am and ending on Monday, December 14th at 10:00 am at NV Energy here in Las Vegas.
